The shuttered Pasquale’s restaurant on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak was being razed this week to make room for a Big Boy restaurant that will sell alcoholic beverages, the Royal Oak Daily Tribune reports.
Frank Alessandrini, vice president of operations for Big Boy, tells the Tribune the company is still working on final plans. It is one of four new locations that will open in Michigan this year.
“It will have a buffet and a full bar, or at least beer and wine, and we will work to expand that,” Alessandrini said.
In 2019, after operating for 65 years, Pasquale’s closed.
Big Boy currently has about 50 locations in the state.
