Angered by what she reportedly felt was too small a cup of ice cream, a regular at the Cold Stone Creamery in Grosse Pointe heaved an approximately 20-pound scale at a worker in late April. Now police are pursuing her for assault charges.
From Fox 2:
The violence only lasted a few seconds and a surveillance camera captured everything. The woman visibly angry and screaming, grabbed a vase with flowers and throws it at the employee — then she grabbed a scale and throws that too.
The 17-year-old clerk suffered only minor injuries. The customer left with her family in a silver minivan with black rims.
A manager tells the station that while the customer felt she'd been cheated out of ice cream, that likely wasn't the case, as portions are weighed.
